The US is examining the video in which around 27 bundles of arms, ammunitions and other weapons, which were dropped to aid Kurdish fighters fighting IS militants to keep control of Kobane, were seized by the militants, according to a BBC news report.

Shortly after the video surfaced, a Pentagon spokesperson said that most of the cache of arms reached Kurds.

The video shows militants seizing arms including hand grenades, ammunition and rocket-propelled grenade launchers after it was dropped in Kobane.

The militants and the Kurdish fighters have been battling to seize control of the town of Kobane for the last few weeks forcing over 200,000 people to flee.

Apart from the Kurdish fighters, air strikes by US-led coalition are also taking place to prevent the militants from advancing into the area.
