Kasasbeh was completely unaware about his fate and that is why did not scream when the flames engulfed him, a report on Burnews.com claims.

The report further states that the drugs numbed the pilot who did not have the ability to think or was aware of what was happening around him.

The report states that unspecified 'observers' who studied the video stated that Kasasbeh was drugged and hence did not scream when the fire engulfed him contrary to claims that he had resigned to his fate, as was being suggested.

They further reportedly said that he did not feel the pain as the 'sensory centres' had burned away quickly.

The horrific undated execution video had created outrage across the world after it showed Kasasbeh, dressed in a jumpsuit, locked in a cage at an undisclosed location.

The 26-year-old was then doused in petrol and the cage was set afire.

The pilot was captured last year after his plane crashed in the area held by the militants. The IS then attempted prisoner exchange for would-be female suicide bomber Sajida al-Rishawi  in return for pilot's freedom.

However, it was later believed that the execution took place nearly a month before the attempt for prisoner exchange was made by the militants.

Vowing revenge, Jordan executed two Islamic State-linked prisoners and has intensified its operation against the terror group in Syria.
