Nafissatou Diallo`s bombshell 2011 allegations ultimately led to Strauss-Kahn`s resignation from the IMF and wrecked his dreams of mounting a challenge for the French presidency.

Diallo, originally from Guinea, opened her restaurant "Chez Amina" last year after reportedly reaching a $1.4 million settlement with Strauss-Kahn in a civil suit.

Debris could be seen inside the restaurant in the Bronx borough, while a sign on the door said it was closed due to fire.

"We recently had a fire in the kitchen, thankfully no one was hurt," a notice on the restaurant`s Facebook page explained.

"As a result we will be closed until further notice for repairs. Please be patient with us."
