Six people were confirmed dead and one injured after a coal mine gas blast in southwest China`s Guizhou province, local authorities said.
Beijing: Six people were confirmed dead and one injured after a coal mine gas blast in southwest China`s Guizhou province, local authorities said.
The accident occurred around 11.50 p.m. Saturday at Hongxing Coal Mine in Pu`an county of Qianxinan prefecture, Xinhua reported citing the county government.
The injured person has been rushed to a hospital.
An investigation into the cause of the blast is under way.
The Hongxing Coal Mine has an annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes.
