New York: Two people were arrested after shots were fired near an upstate New York mall, police said.

According to law enforcement officials, 13 shots were fired on Saturday near the Apple store of the Crossgates Mall in Albany, the New York Post reported .


However, there was no immediate word of injuries. 


Witnesses on scene said the mall was on lockdown. 


Mall employees and customers hid in stores and bathrooms before finding safety.
