New Delhi: The man, who singlehandedly dealt a fierce blow to the authorities in Washington by making public a treasure trove of damaging leaks on NSA snooping, polished his hacking skills from an institute in New Delhi`s Moti Nagar and stayed at Karol Bagh.
Snowden came to India in 2010 and attended a six-day crash course on EC Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA) and a course on Core Java from Koenig Solutions in West Delhi`s Moti Nagar area, reports said. The course that Snowden attended from Sep 3 to Sep 9 in 2010, dealt with the analytical aspect of ethical hacking and cost him £1,000.
Snowden told the West Delhi IT centre that he worked for the US agency NSA and that he was then posted in Japan. According to a report, Snowden was a quiet and sincere learner, who worked non-stop for eight hours and never interacted. The trainers at Koenig Solutions, who now regret not having taken his autograph, remember him as a very intelligent and quiet professional who kept a low profile, says a news report.
What Snowden learned in Delhi might have helped him in exposing the secret surveillance operations executed by the NSA, said one of Snowden`s trainer.
"Certainly his course here included some elements which may have helped him in what he did. But overall he was a very intelligent student and good learner," the Telegraph quoted Snowden`s Delhi training centre manager, Hema Sharma, as saying.

Snowden, who is wanted in US on the charges of espionage, is currently staying in Russia and a report by a Russian website added that he has also got a job in one the portals in Russia.
Having been stuck in Moscow`s Sheremetyevo Airport for a month, he was later given a political asylum by Russia.
Snowden is at the centre of a storm of revelations that has hit the Obama administration hard as many foreign allies are questioning America over the alleged snooping operations.
According to the latest information facilitated by Snowden documents and published by the Washington Post, the US traced over five billion phone calls across the world on a daily basis.
Most of the calls belonged to the Americans travelling abroad, the report said. The latest bombshell is set to add to the agonies of Washington, which is already reeling with the damages posed by Snowden`s earlier leaks that have threatened the US` equations with its allies like Germany, France, Spain, etc.
