Viral Video: Oouch! Chinese bank employees publicly spanked for poor performance

Eight employees of a rural bank in China were spanked in public for poor performance during a team-building exercise.

The video of the incident, that has gone viral on social media, shows a man with a huge wooden stick spanking each employee four times on a stage as their colleagues, seated at dinner tables, look on in embarrassment.

While initial reports said that man was the employees' boss but local authorities later issued a statement saying that the man was a corporate trainer hired by the bank to train its employees on team-building and professional development.
