Eight Noida builders face arrest for not delivering flats on time
Earlier, the police had lodged 13 FIRs against six builders in Noida.
NOIDA: At least eight builders in Noida face arrest for not delivering flats on time to homebuyers, a media report said on Tuesday.
Three ministers asked to take care of issues in Noida's real estate sector have ordered the police to arrest them but their names have not been revealed yet.
They have also reportedly asked the Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Love Kumar to lodge FIRs against builders who have failed to hand over possession to homebuyers, the Times of India reported.
In September, the Noida Police had lodged 13 FIRs against six builders having projects in Noida and Greater Noida.
The ministers reportedly stressed that builders have to be pushed to deliver 50,000 flats by December end, a goal CM Yogi Adityanath had set in August.
Citing officials, the report said that the Greater Noida Authority has told the group of ministers that it has already given possession of 4,529 flats. And the completion certificates of some 9,600 flats would be issued by this month.
