Mumbai: Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi took a dig at Karan Johar a day after the latter announced the arrival of his twin children – Roohi and Yash – through surrogacy.

Commenting on the Bollywood producer-director’s decision to embrace fatherhood through a surrogate mother, Azmi said, “Itne bade ho gaye, shaadi nahin kar sakte? Koi beemari hai toh adopt kar lo. Surrogacy ka kya naatak hai ye?”.

On Sunday, Johar, took to Twitter to issue an official statement to announce that he has become a father to twin children through surrogacy.
