New Delhi: The National Award winning actor Akshay Kumar has always lent his unconditional support towards social causes. Recently, Akki launched an app through which common man can donate money for the families of martyrs killed in the line of duty.

Akshay took to Twitter and even shared a moving picture. He tweeted: “They die,so we might live...the least we can do is take care of their loved one's. A sincere request, contribute now http://bharatkeveer.gov.in”



On CRPF day (April 9, 2017), Home Minister Rajnath Singh launched the web portal titled Bharat Ke Veer at the Vigyan Bhawan where Akshay Kumar was also present. Anyone can donate up to Rs 15 lakh to family of a martyred jawan or officer of CAPFs.


Akshay Kumar, who recently donated Rs 1.09 crore to 11 families of CRPF martyrs killed in a Naxal ambush in Sukma, was quoted as saying at the event by TOI, "today, I am here with you not as an actor, but as a son of an Army officer".


This certainly is a noble cause towards helping the families of martyrs.
