New Delhi: Pan-India star Allu Arjun, who was initially sent to 14-day judicial custody by a local court in connection with the Hyderabad stampede case involving a woman's death, has been granted four-week bail by the Telangana High Court, following an appeal, as reported by Zee News.

Earlier, the actor moved court seeking quashing of the criminal case filed against him over a woman’s death in a stampede at a Hyderabad theatre during the film's release.On the other hand, the husband of the deceased woman said that he is ready to withdraw the case as he was not aware of the arrest. "Allu Arjun  has nothing to do with the stampede in which my wife passed away," said Revathi’s husband Bhaskar.



The actor was quoted saying saying, “Arresting me is fine, but barging into my bedroom and not letting me change is too much.” After being handed a cup of coffee, he was seen consoling his wife, Sneha Reddy. 


Actor Allu Arjun mourned the tragic death of a woman during the 'Pushpa 2' premiere at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. He shared a video on X, expressing grief and announced ₹25 lakh aid to the victim's family, assuring full support from the film team.


He said in the video, "We extend our deepest condolences to the family. We understand that no words or actions can ever compensate for the loss you are bearing..... I would like to extend financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the family as a goodwill gesture...we will also take care of the medical expenses..."


Rashmika Mandanna, along with other celebrities like Varun Dhawan, expressed disappointment over the arrest. Taking to Instagram, Rashmika wrote about her Pushpa co-star Allu Arjun: "I can't believe what I'm seeing right now. The incident was unfortunate and deeply saddening, but blaming everything on one individual is disheartening. This situation feels both unbelievable and heartbreaking."
