The 51-year-old took to Twitter, where he thanked his well-wishers for their prayers when he reportedly collapsed while working out at a New York City gym two weeks ago, reported People magazine.

"As you've heard, I had a heart attack two weeks ago. I'm on the mend now and want to thank everyone for the outpouring of messages and support," Harper wrote, along side a picture of him with his pet pooch Karl.

A doctor exercising at the gym performed CPR before the personal trainer was moved to a nearby hospital, where he remained unconscious for two days, as per reports.

He was released from the hospital after an eight-day stay after which he said the heart attack occurred due to genetic issues.

Harper also put a picture on Instagram with a lit candle and captioned it as, "My word of the day... LUCKY."
