Reportedly, the actress was attending some event in the same hotel and got to know about it when a hotel staff informed her about the booking. She soon registered the matter with Bandra police and was told that a fake Aadhaar card has been used to book the room in her name.

Mumbai Mirror quotes the police source as saying, “Around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, a hotel employee told her that a room was booked in her name. She denied having done so and immediately went through the hotel’s booking details. It was found that the booking was done online.”

The case has been registered under section 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and relevant sections of the IT act and further investigations are underway.

The actress has lodged the FIR and reportedly the IP address from where the bookings took place will also be tracked.

Urvashi was last seen in Vishal Pandya's 'Hate Story IV' starring Karan Wahi and Vivan Bhatena in lead roles.
