Geetanjali raced ahead 20 participants from different countries in the contest to win the title. The Mrs India went back home today and got a grand reception amid family and friends.

The winner has previously participated in Gladrags Mrs India contest where she was one of the top 10 contestants. In 2016, Geetanjali won the Mrs UP title as well.

Her proud father expressed his happiness over Geetanjali's big win. He said, "She was talented right from her childhood and wanted to achieve big in life. And probably this is the reason why even though she hails from a small town yet Geetanjali's undying spirit helped her win laurels for the country."

He even talked about growing inclination of the young India towards politics by adding, "Today's youth is interested in politics because corruption has to end come what may."
