All aspects being looked at in Sushant`s death case, says CBI

  • The All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) forensic team met Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers and Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) experts on Monday to discuss the findings of the probe done in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

  • The CBI has said that it is conducting professional investigation related to Sushant's death, in which all aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out as of date. Investigation is continuing, the agency added.

  • Hiwaker and Acharya, in a video message, said that they will be going on a three-day hunger strike to demand justice in the Sushant Singh Rajput murder case.

    "We have been demanding justice in the Sushant Singh Rajput murder case from the beginning. But, there have been no updates from the CBI for the past few days. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is doing its job and looking for drugs connection. We also want the drugs mafia to end. The Enforcement Directorate is also doing its job," Hiwaker said in the video.

  • Claiming that there have been no updates from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, the late actor`s friends -- Ganesh Hiwaker and Ankit Acharya -- on Monday announced that they are going on a hunger strike from October 2 to demand justice in the matter.

  • Sources say that the actress was initially nervous and did not give proper answers. She then turned silent, but when the questions did not stop, she broke down. She turned emotional quite a few times. Deepika was grilled for five hours.

  • On questions of drugs consumption, both Deepika and Karishma said that they were referring to hand-rolled cigarettes in their chats and in code language, it's called hash and weed.

  • Deepika Padukone couldn't hold back her tears when the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) interrogated her for her old drug-related chats on Saturday in Mumbai. Her manager Karishma Prakash, too, was questioned by the agency and during the interrogation, it is being said that the duo was grilled together. 

  • Executive Producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad has been sent to custody till October 3. Prasad was produced before Esplanade Court here today after being arrested by in connection with the alleged drug abuse nexus in Bollywood.

  • The agency has already arrested Sushant`s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, the late actor`s house manager Samuel Miranda, personal staff Dipesh Sawant and several others.
     

  • He was also apprised of the latest developments in the case by the NCB`s SIT.

  • According to NCB sources, Asthana, who flew from Delhi to Mumbai earlier on Sunday, met several officers and was briefed on the two drugs cases the agency had registered last month after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) wrote to it following the alleged chats of several Bollywood celebrities purportedly discussing drugs.

New Delhi: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) chief Rakesh Asthana arrived in Mumbai on Sunday to take stock of the probe. The agency has been questioning several top Bollywood stars as part of its investigation into the drug angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death.

So far actresses such as Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh have been interrogated following their alleged chats purportedly discussing drugs.


The NCB has also grilled Deepika's manager Karishma Prakash, producer Kshitij Prasad Ravi and fashion designer Simone Khambatta. After being questioned for several hours, Kshitij was also arrested by the NCB on Saturday.


Sushant was found dead in his Bandra flat on June 14. Besides the NCB, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are also probing his death.
