New Delhi: Noted actor Narendra Jha suffered a heart attack and breathed his last on March 14, 2018. His untimely demise and shocked the film and television fraternity immensely. The actor gave some brilliant performances in recent films like 'Haider', 'Raees', 'Kaabil' to name a few.

A family member confirmed the news of death and told PTI, "Yes, he has passed away. He got heart attack today early morning while he was at his farmhouse. He was here because he was not keeping well." He was 55. 


He was at his farmhouse in Wada. The classic actor started his career in television with hit shows like 'Shanti', 'Ithihass', 'Captain House. He then moved to films but continued his work in TV. He featured in Shyam Benegal's 'Samvidhaan', comedy show 'Begusarai' and 'Chhoona Hai Aasmaan'. 


Several Bollywood and television celebrities took to Twitter and expressed their grief. 













Director Awani Agrawal said he was healthy while shooting for his film 'De Ijaazat Rahun Tujhme' in Gujarat earlier this month. "He was shooting for my film, which is tentatively titled 'De Ijaazat Rahun Tujhme', in Vadodara. He was accompanied by his wife to the location. They left on March 8. He didn't have any health issue.


"I can't tell you much about his role in the film, but as an actor, he was very co-operative and supportive. He was a beautiful person," Agrawal told IANS.


Narendra's "De Ijaazat..." co-star Mohit Madaan was also shocked to hear about his death. "I will always remember our final conversation on the night before he left for home where he found me lost in my own world sitting in the lawn. He sat with me on the grass and we ate dinner together from one plate. There was an instant attachment and he motivated me to continue as an actor," he said.
