After basking in the glory of Padmaavat's success, Shahid Kapoor is back to the sets of his next film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' in Uttarakhand. But now we hear that the actor has taken a break from work.

Shahid, who couldn't be by his wife Mira Rajput's side on Valentine's day, wants to celebrate his birthday only with family.The actor who will turn 37 on February 25th has revealed that he will celebrate his birthday with Mira, Misha and the rest of the family in Radha Saomi Satsang, Beas, a town near Amritsar, according to a report published in Mumbai Mirror.


“Shahid and Mira missed Valentine’s Day and the actor wanted to keep up with the annual tradition of celebrating birthdays with satsangs and a visit to Beas,” a source close to the couple told Mumbai Mirror.


Radha Saomi Satsang is the same sect that introduced Shahid to Mira. Shahid's father is a follower of the sect.


On the work front, Shahid will be essaying the character of a lawyer in 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', which also stars actress Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam.
