Sonam Kapoor defines nepotism, gets trolled on Twitter
Daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, Sonam, who has often been in news for speaking her mind, got trolled by Twitter users for posting nepotism`s definition.
Mumbai: The highly controversial debate on nepotism just doesn’t seem to end. After Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan expressed regret over their “nepotism rocks” chant at the IIFA 2017 awards event in the US last weekend, Sonam Kapoor has jumped into the picture.
Daughter of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, Sonam, who has often been in news for speaking her mind, got trolled by Twitter users for posting nepotism’s definition.
She took to Twitter Wednesday to post: “#fya NEPOTISM: the practice among those with power or influence of favouring RELATIVES or FRIENDS, especially by giving them jobs.”
However, she got it all wrong as Twitter users criticised her for not acknowledging the fact that nepotism prevails in Bollywood. Check out the reactions here:
For the uninitiated, the nepotism debate started soon after Kangana Ranaut accused Karan Johar of favouring star kids, when she was on his show ‘Koffee With Karan’ to promote her film ‘Rangoon’ along with Saif Ali Khan.
Johar’s reaction to Kangana’s allegation came much later during an even when he accused the ‘Queen’ star of playing the ‘victim’ and ‘woman card’.
