Vivek will be releasing an anti-tobacco video on Friday on the occasion of International No Tobacco Day.

"As a public figure, I feel the need to talk about this on an online platform and address it as a serious issue. Cancer caused by tobacco can be avoided simply by quitting," Vivek said in a statement.

Vivek currently serves as the anti-tobacco spokesperson for the World Health Organization (WHO). He has also worked closely with the Cancer Patients Aid Association.

"I'm proud to be associated with organisations that are working in the direction to make addicts choose life over tobacco," the actor said.
