Want to exchange Rs 500, Rs 1,000 notes? You will need these documents for proof of identity
Following are the list of documents which will work as identity proof.

New Delhi: Declaring a "decisive" war against black money and corruption, Prime Minister Narendra Mod has announced that high denomination notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will no longer be legal tender.
People holding notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 can deposit the same in their bank and post office accounts from November 10 till December 30.
Modi also said that new notes of Rs 2000 and Rs 500, with completely new design, will be introduced. Officials said such notes have already been reached to banks to prepare for their circulation from November 10.
However, you will be required to furnish a valid Identity proof for doing it.
Following are the list of documents which will work as identity proof:
Aadhaar Card
Driving License
Voter ID Card
Pass Port
NREGA Card
PAN Card
Identity Card Issued by Government Department
Identity Card Issued by Public Sector Unit to its Staff
