Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3 India launch on August 20: Compare specs, prices of foldable smartphones

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in international markets at around $1,799.99 which is roughly around Rs 1,33,600. However, the prices of the new phone could be different at the time of launch in India.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with a triple rear camera setup. The primary 12-megapixel primary shooter comes with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens and is supported by 12-megapixel ultra-wide and 12-megapixel telephoto shooters. The camera setup offers optical image stabilisation that lets users shoot smoother videos. In the front, there are two cameras: a 10-megapixel shooter on the cover and a 4-megapixel under-display camera.  

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 opens like a book and could be used as either a phone or a tablet depending on the usage. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 also offers the support for an S Pen stylus. You can run three apps on a single screen.  

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is priced at $999.99 in the US, which roughly translates to Rs 74,200. However, we may have to wait a little more before the Indian prices of the foldable device are unveiled on August 20. 

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with a dual rear camera setup, with a primary 12-megapixel camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. In the front is a single 10-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 lens. The smartphone, which is $800 cheaper than Galaxy Z Fold 3, doesn’t support the S Pen stylus.

Both the newly launched smartphones are protected with the IPX8 water-resistant builds, which also helps users take underwater photos. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 price are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoCs processors. The displays of both the foldable devices offer a 120Hz refresh rate.
