Alia Bhatt, Abhishek Bachchan reach hospital to pay tributes to Rishi Kapoor

Actress Alia Bhatt, who is dating Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir, rushed to the hospital soon after the veteran actor died. Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on Thursday morning at Mumbai’s Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. He was battling cancer for two years. He was taken to the hospital last night after he complained of breathing problem. The paparazzi stationed outside the hospital spotted Alia’s car entering the hospital.

Alia has been by the family’s side like a pillar. She frequently visited Rishi and wife Neetu Kapoor in the US while he was undergoing cancer treatment there.

Rishi Kapoor’s last rites will take place at Mumbai’s Chandanwadi Electric Crematorium later in the day amid tight police security.

A few members from the family have only been given permission to attend the last rites amid coronavirus scare.

Rishi Kapoor died on Thursday morning after a two-year-long battle with leukemia. He was 67. He was hospitalised last night after he complained of some breathing problem. Rishi Kapoor got treated for cancer in the US for a year and had returned to India in September 2019. 

He is survived by wife Neetu Kapoor and children Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor, also an actor.

Abhishek represented the Bachchan family. The Bachchans shared a great bond with Rishi Kapoor and his family.
