Rainfall alert: Several states likely to witness heavy showers in the coming days, predicts IMD
The weather department said that overall rainfall activity is very likely to be above normal over northwest and central India.
Heavy falls over Uttar Pradesh
Under the influence of a well-marked Low-Pressure area and associated cyclonic circulation and active monsoon trough, the IMD predicted scattered rainfall with isolated heavy falls over Uttar Pradesh on September 17.
The IMD also said that it will decrease thereafter.

Uttarakhand to see isolated heavy falls
According to IMD, Uttarakhand will also see isolated heavy falls between September 19 and September 22.

Widespread rainfall activity over Rajasthan and Gujarat
Fairly widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy falls is very likely over East Rajasthan and Gujarat region on September 17 and increase in intensity with isolated heavy to very heavy falls from September 18 to 22.
Rainfall activity is also likely to increase over West Rajasthan from September 18 to 20.

The met department said that West Madhya Pradesh will witness fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely on September 17 and isolated heavy falls from September 18 to 21.

Odisha and Gangetic West Bengal may also see increased rainfall activity from September 18 to September 20.
