Vistadome tourist coaches of Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express train to commence from this date - In Pics

The Vistadome coaches of the Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai Deccan Express Special Train is all set to be restored on this route from June 26, 2021 to make the scenic beauty of the Western Ghats more enjoyable. Check out latest photos here:

The new coaches are equipped with a CCTV system for onboard surveillance and have aesthetically designed interiors.

Among some stand-out features of the new vistadome coaches, they are equipped with air-spring suspension in secondary stage for better ride comfort, large glass windows and glass roof that boast electrically controlled opalescence, transparent roof for the passengers to get a panoramic view of their journey, observatory lounge with a larger window at one end.

The vistadome tourist coach has a larger viewing area including roof top glass with 44 seats for passengers with rotation up to 180 degrees. 

It has Fiber Reinforced Plastic modular toilets with pressurized flushing system and bio tanks and automatic fire detection with an alarm system for safe travel.

The 'Vistadome' coaches has been developed by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) which will make train journeys memorable for the passengers and hopefully give a boost to tourism.
