You will be amazed to know that the Atlee directorial is now turning out to be the biggest Tamil release ever. It is being said that the worldwide screen count of the movie is now touching the 3292 mark. Hema Rukmani, director of Sri Thenandal Studios, on Tuesday took to Twitter to confirm the same.

"#MersalWorldwideOn18Oct #MersalScreenCount 3292. Will add more #MersalDiwali," she posted on the microblogging website.

According to media reports, the flick will leave behind Prabhas' Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in terms of screen count in Kerala. Amazing, isn’t it?

The film marks the collaboration of Atlee and Vijay for the second time after last year's Tamil blockbuster Theri. Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen play the leading ladies in the upcoming film.

SJ Suryah will be seen the antagonist in the film, which has music by AR Rahman.

Mersal, made on a lavish budget of over Rs 120 crore, is slated to hit the silver screens on October 18 this year.
