New Delhi: The United States military is working on a $65 million program of developing a specialized brain chip that could plug humans directly into computers.

The organisation behind the concept is claiming that this technology would not only allow create super soldiers but also enable blind people see again.


 


For the program, DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) has selected five universities that will jointly work on the project with US military.


Columbia University, the University of California, Berkeley, Brown University, The Seeing and Hearing Foundation and the John B. Pierce Laboratory, have been roped in for the US $65 million program to develope and look after different functions for this brain chip.
