New Delhi: This image from NASA's Aqua satellite shows smoke from California's Soberanes Fire, which started from an illegal campfire.
This natural-color satellite image was taken by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument that flies aboard NASA-NOAA's Suomi NPP satellite, says NASA. VIIRS imagery identified smoke on August 8 at 5:40 p.m. EDT, outlining actively burning areas in red.
