In North India, the birth date of Lord Hanuman is celebrated on the full moon day in the Chaitra month according to the Hindu calendar.


Remembered as the biggest devotee of Shri Rama, Hanuman, also known as Anjaneya, was born to Kesari and Anjana. He is also referred to as Pavan Putra because the God of Wind – Vayu – played a pivotal role in his birth.


Hanuman was instrumental in location Maa Sita, who was held captive in Ashoka Vatika after being abducted by demon king Ravana. His devotion for Shri Rama and his valour are matchless.
