New Delhi: Out of media glare, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was spotted training at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru on Tuesday, by Circle of Cricket.

With the all-important, home series against South Africa starting in 10 days time, Dhoni has opted to take the practice route to help himself match-fit.



Dhoni, who was retained as the captain of the national team for both the Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) and One-Day Internationals (ODI), last played for India in the three-match ODI series in Bangladesh in June.


The high-stake Gandhi-Mandela series kick-starts on Octobber 02 at Dharamsala's Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium with India taking on South Africa at the first of three T20I matches.


The Proteas will be in India for four Tests, five one-dayers and three T20Is in a long tour.
