New Delhi: Star batsman Virat Kohli on Sunday took a swipe at his critics after India's Asia Cup triumph.

The right-hander stated that a lot of negative things were written about him when he decided to rest against the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka.

Kohli went on to add that he needed to a break to recharge himself after the Australia tour.

India's limited-overs vice captain was in fine form at the Asia Cup and was by the far the best batsman at the tournament across teams.
