New Delhi: The touring team in Australia will play two in unofficial warm-up matches against a Western Australia XI.

The Indian One-Day International (ODI) team, which arrived on Wednesday, takes on a second string WA XI n a T20 match at the WACA ground, Perth on Friday.


A day later, Mahendra Singh Dhoni & CO. will play a 50-over match against the same oppositions.


Many WA regulars are taking part in the Big Bash League and will not be available for these matches.


Besides, these matches will not be official, so the Indian camp is likely to field as many players as possible.


The much anticipated limited overs series starts on January 12 at Perth with the first of five-match ODI matches.


After the ODIs, India will play a three-match Twenty20 International seriesm, for which, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Ashish Nehra will join the team later.
