BCCI chief Shashank Manohar urged to seek CBI probe into snooping case
It has been alleged that the London based IT firm was paid $900,000 to snoop on a few members of the board.
Kolkata: While the BCCI has constituted a panel to probe the allegations that a former Indian cricket board official paid money to a London based firm to snoop on board officials, Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB) on Saturday wrote to board chief Shashank Manohar seeking a CBI probe.
It has been alleged that the London based IT firm was paid $900,000 to snoop on a few members of the board.
CAB secretary Aditya Verma, who has written several times to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh seeking a CBI probe into the matter, in a letter to Manohar said the intervention of the central agency was essential as it was a matter involving internal security.
The BCCI earlier in the month constituted a two-member panel to probe the matter.
