Don`t think BCCI president post is a crown of thorns: Sourav Ganguly
Ganguly supports Day-night Test cricket and even stated that India will soon host such matches.
New Delhi: Former Indian skipper and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Sourav Ganguly feels that newly elected BCCI President Anurag Thakur has to carry the legacy of his predecessors.
Ganguly also believes that every job comes with challenges and people should not think that BCCI top job is like a crown of thorns.
While talking about Thakur and his new role in BCCI, Ganguly told ANI, “Every job comes with challenges, don't think its a crown of thorns. He has to carry the legacy of people who have been before him. Sure Indian cricket will be looked after well.”
Ganguly, 43, also supports Day-night Test cricket and even stated that India will soon host such matches.
“Day-night test cricket going to happen in India soon. Don't see it being too far away from being played in India. Test cricket is the best form of the game.
“For any cricketer, thats the ultimate challenge and judgment of player's ability. It needs a bit of innovation and I think day-night cricket is the best way forward," added Ganguly.
