Sana Mir disagrees with Shahid Afridi, says Pakistan crowd is more loving
We get love at home more and love playing back home more because we don`t get a chance to play at home,` Sana said.
New Delhi: Pakistan women's cricket team captain Sana Mir on Friday disagreed with men's skipper Shahid Afridi, stating that her team is loved more back home.
Mir offered a reason for her remark, stating that cricket-hungry Pakistani fans hardly get to see their team in action.
"We really love playing here in India but we also love playing back home. In fact, we get love at home more and love playing back home more because we don't get a chance to play at home," Sana told reporters on the eve of their marquee Group B clash against India in the ICC Women's World Twenty20 at the Feroze Shah Kotla ground here.
"But we are looking forward to playing in India. We had a good crowd in Chennai and we enjoyed playing in front of them."
Unlike their male counterparts, Pakistan women cricketers are in a relaxed environment in terms of security and they are enjoying every bit of it.
"We have been looked after well. We are enjoying our stay here. The security is not too high and we are liking it," said the 30-year-old Sana.
There was a huge furore over comments from Shahid Afridi after he said that Indian fans had showered more love on him and his team than even Pakistani crowds.
