During the India-England 2nd Test match at Visakhapatnam, the former India captain came up with an idea to challenge his fellow commentators. Shastri asked them to say the now famous words, "like a tracer bullet", in his style. Many have tried, but most of the attempts failed to impress Shastri.

Surprisingly, the former Team India director found unexpected challengers in Kohli, Ashwin and Pandya. Here's the video:

Earlier, three of India's 'big four' – Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman – also bit the bait, and did their bits, imitating Shastri.

Conspicuously Sourav Ganguly, who is a part of India's big four, was missing from the video.

Here's the video proof of how his 'rival' commentators took to the challenge.

As seen in the video, not many of those managed to convince the former India captain, who has a unique style of commentary. But Sunil Gavaskar and Nasser Hussain did earn the respect from Shastri.
