Beirut: Syrian Foreign Ministry on Tuesday expelled the ambassadors of several western states.
Those dismissed include the envoys of the US, UK, France and Turkey, among 17 diplomats.
Some have already left the country because of the violent uprising. The move came as activists said at least seven people had been killed in violence across Syria on Tuesday. Last week, Western nations expelled Syrian diplomats in a coordinated move against President Bashar Assad`s regime over the killing of more than 100 people in a weekend in one cluster of villages.
