New Delhi: Indian cricket team, under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, will take on New Zealand in a home Test series beginning from September 22.

Indian team will play three tests and five ODIs against Kane Williamson and his men.


Kohli and the newly appointed coach Anil Kumble took to Twitter to announce the dates of the first Test as well as the last ODI match of the series.

India have not played Test cricket since December last year, where they thrashed South Africa 3-0 in a four-match series.


India's next assignment is the tour to West Indies, where they will play four Tests and two practice matches.
