India vs Pakistan: Get ready for another epic battle between arch-rivals in Champions Trophy 2017
The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is slated to take place on June 4.
New Delhi: When India lock horns with Pakistan, it's considered to be the biggest cricketing rivalry. The stage is once again set for the epic battle between the arch-rivals as the ICC on Wednesday unveiled the fixtures for the 2017 Champions Trophy at The Oval in London.
The tournament is scheduled to start from June 1 and its final will be played on June 18.
The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is slated to take place on June 4, when the two neighbors will face each other in Edgbaston.
Apart from Indo-Pak match, clash between traditional rivals England and Australia is also on the cards, which will take place on June 10, in Edgbaston.
The opening match of the coveted tournament is between hosts England and Bangladesh at The Oval.
During the entire tournament, 15 matches will be played in a span of 18 days on three venues — Cardiff, The Oval and Edgbaston.
West Indies and Zimbabwe — two Full Member countries — have failed to make the cut as only the top eight sides in the ICC ODI rankings as of September 30, 2015 qualified for the event.
India will enter the tournament as defending champions.
