India vs SA 2015: `Unplayable` Ravindra Jadeja praised by coach, mentor
Jadeja has picked 16 wickets in last three Tests against South Africa.
New Delhi: After having a decent outing against South Africa in the ongoing four-match series, Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been praised by his coach and mentor.
Jadeja, who has bagged 16 wickets so far against the Proteas, was lauded for his line and length.
“He's unplayable on a turner. I've not seen a left-arm spinner in my career who won't bowl a single ball outside leg stump in his entire spell, but would keep firing it on the stumps,“ Sau rashtra coach Debu Mitra, who's seen a fair bit of the man, told Times of India.
Jadeja made a comeback into the Test side, after a prolific Ranji season, where he wreaked havoc in all the matches he played.
“He's the best left-arm spin nerall-rounder that we have for these conditions. He's consistent and bowls with a low, flat trajectory, which doesn't give you room or time to hit the ball. In fact, as it happened with the SA batsmen he leaves you confused abou whether to leave or play the ball If it doesn't turn and you leave it you meet Amla's f ate. His `straighter' delivery is even more dangerous. And if it turns, you can easily edge it behind the wickets. He's economical, and can bowl long spells. It helps that he has a strong shoulder," feels former Saurashtra batsman turned-coach Shitanshu Kotak, who's seen him right from his Ranji debut days.
India will now take on South Africa in the fourth Test to be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla beginning from December 3. The Virat Kohli-led side have an unassailable 2-0 lead going into the final Test.
