Bhopal: Opposition Congress members on Monday created a ruckus in the well of the Madhya Pradesh assembly after they were not allowed to raise issues during the zero hour and later walked out of the house.
Soon after the zero hour, Tulsi Silawat(Cong) asked Speaker Ishwar Das Rohanim about his adjournment motion on the Betma gang-rape. Similarly, Choudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi and Ram Niwas Rawat of the party also made some queries about notices sent by them over some other issues.
The Speaker replied that normally ten notices are taken up during the zero hour and later the government sends replies to the concerned members adding there was no tradition to raise the kind of issues (during zero hour) the Congress members were talking about and that they should meet him in his chamber to get replies. When Congress members persisted in raising the issues, the Speaker said that the house would be run as per rules following which the main opposition members walked into the well of the house, raised slogans and later staged a walk-out.
