New Delhi: After months of hectic preparations, India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will tie the nuptial knot with fiancee Reeva Solanki in Rajkot on Sunday. The 27-year-old got engaged to UPSC aspirant Reeva in the first week of February.

The Gujarat Lions player will miss today's Indian Premier League match against defending champions Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The same has been confirmed by a source close to the new IPL franchise.


"Ravindra Jadeja is not going to play today's match and has not come to Mumbai with the team as he is getting married tomorrow," sources in Gujarat Lions team said told PTI.


However, Jadeja may still turn up for Lions's next game against SunRisers Hyderabad in Rajkot.


"It is also not sure whether he would be available for game against SunRisers Hyderabad to be played on April 21," sources added.


Jadeja is one of Lions' key players. The new team has won both their matches played so far.


Last week, the glimpse of wedding card were posted/ or leaked on various Twitter handles.




Then, it was reported that on the eve of the wedding, a party will be hosted at a hotel on Kalavad Road for Jadeja's fellow cricketers and close friends.


After the wedding ceremony, the couple will visit Hadatoda, Jamnagar for more rituals at Jadeja’s native place.


Sources also said that Gujarat Lions team members are expected to attend the wedding reception tomorrow evening.
