New Delhi: Skippers of two IPL franchises, Royal Challenges Bangalore (Virat Kohli) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (David Warner), are involved in an intense competition for the Orange Cap.

Both the batsmen are in prime form with the willow and are trying to outshine each other to get hold of the Orange cap, which is made for the leading run scorer of the tournament.


While playing for their respective countries, the duo had exchanged many words in the past.


And now, they are involved in a stiff fight for the Orange cap in the cash-rich league.


Warner has recently revealed that when he had surpassed Kohli as the leading scorer, the latter had texted him jokingly to warn about taking back the Orange Cap soon.


“He texted me the other day, saying he’s coming for the orange cap — and my reply was, I am going to come back and get it off you,” said Warner.


At the moment, the Orange cap is in Kohli's custody as has 433 runs in seven innings. On the other hand ,Warner is mere 47-run behind, with 386 runs in equal number of matches.


Interestingly, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is at the 3rd spot after amassing 383 in nine games.
