But after a poor start by RCB, captain Virat Kohli and coach Daniel Vettori opted to bench the India U-19 star.

Virat cited  poor fitness as reason behind the right-hander's ouster from the playing eleven.

Despite RCB not winning the tournament, the skipper graciously handed a special gift, accompanied with some sound advice, to Sarfaraz.

According to a report in the Times of India, Virat gave a bat and a pair of gloves to the 18-year-old.

“He told me to work hard. I think he’s given me the bow and arrow to help me conquer my target. This means a lot to me,” Sarfaraz told TOI.

“Our trainer at RCB, Shankar Basu, has mailed me a fitness programme which I’ll adhere to,” he further added.

Virat has credited his physical transformation to Mr. Basu. Hence one can safely assume that Sarfaraz is in good hands.
