Melbourne: For the first time, surfers are being able to connect and chat about swell forecasts and share their secret spots, exchange videos and photos – thanks to a website created by an Australian graphic designer.
Brett Sirianni from Brisbane launched the social networking website called SecondSea, which is being billed as “Facebook for surfers” Sirianni, 32, who worked at surfwear company Billabong for seven years, said Queensland had a tight surfing community. “By the time you make it to a beach from Brisbane, a swell can dramatically change, so it’s good to have people sharing information,” the Courier Mail quoted the website creator as saying.
