New Delhi: After boxing superstar Vijender Sigh, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag on Sunday appealed to the jats to end their violent agitation for reservation.
Taking to social micro-blogging site Twitter, Viru said that people of the community were saviours and not destroyers.
Vijender on Saturday had requested the people of Haryana not to fight among themselves.
Interestingly, Sehwag's former opening partner Gautam Gambhir criticized the ongoing events in Haryana.
Jats are demanding reservation and despite various leaders, including the Haryana Chief Minister M L Khattar, appealing to them to maintain peace, there was no let up in the protests which have disrupted normal life in Rohtak, Jind, Bhiwani, Jhajjar, Sonipat and Hisar.
