Patna: Exchange of experience, thought and technology may help further strengthen the ties between India and China, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Thursday.
Welcoming a 12-member Chinese delegation led by Lu Hao, party secretary of C P C Gansu Provincial Committee, Kumar said, "exchange of experience, thought and technology will come in handy in strengthening the bond between the two countries". "Both the countries can learn more and more by way of the exchange in the fields of tourism, education, industry, agriculture and infrastructure development," he said.
Recalling his recent visit to China, Kumar said the will, power and pledge which he had seen among the people in China was giving new dimensions to development. "I have briefed the experiences I had during my China trip to the legislators in Bihar and there are lot of similarities between the Gansu province of China and Bihar," he observed.
The delegation members told the chief minister that people of the province are dependent mainly on agriculture, mines, industry, energy production and infrastructures, though it was the most backward province of China.
Kumar said both the countries should vigorously pursue exchange in the fields of tourism, education, industry and construction sector which would pave the way for development of working capacity and knowledge.
The Chinese delegation appreciated the CM for his sincere efforts towards ushering in a new era of development in Bihar and said that Bihar has now become a source of inspiration.
Extending help for the development of the ancient Nalanda University in the state, Lu Hao also requested Kumar to visit Gansu province once again and send high-level delegations for exchanges in various fields.
