“No series planned against Pakistan this year. India will only play against them in multi-national tournaments,” Thakur told ANI.

Last year, a high-profile proposed bilateral series between India-Pakistan was expected to take place in the month of December. But it was snapped later as both the governments couldn't manage to come on the same page.

Thakur also passed a statement on India's defeat against Australia in the first ODI at WACA in Perth as he found that Men in Blue were unfortunate to lose the opener.

“India played well.Unfortunately we lost in a close game.May be in coming matches India will do better,” added Thakur.
