As per the Dawn, it is for the first time that active players have been included in the committee.

Reflecting on the decision, Shahryar said the Board of Governors took an extremely important decision as the two players would offer their important inputs on cricket related matters.

The 81-year-old felt that the current players are well aware about the modern game and they would provide better ideas to the board.

The two players have already retired from limited-over format while Misbah is also mulling retirement from Test cricket.
