New Delhi: Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal has dismissed reports which said he was contemplating retirement from international cricket.
Ajmal, who is waiting to make a comeback after having remodelled his action, clarified through a tweet that the speculations about his retirement were wrong.
According to reports, the veteran offie had been considering retirement after being sidelined for the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka.
The 37-year-old was banned by the International Cricket Council for an illegal bowling action in August 2014, which led to his ouster from the national squad for the World Cup.
Ajmal, who has claimed 178 Test and 184 ODI wickets, has been struggling with to cement his spot in the team since returning from suspension in February.
