Thirty six jail officials promoted in J&K
Thirty-six jail officials, including an Assistant Superintendent and six police officials, have been promoted to the next rank in Jammu and Kashmir.
Srinagar: Thirty-six jail officials, including an Assistant Superintendent and six police officials, have been promoted to the next rank in Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman said on Saturday.
Director General of Prisons Navin Agarwal has ordered promotion of 36 officials, including Assistant Superintendent Mohammad Mussa, to the next rank yesterday, the spokesman said. While Mussa has been promoted as Deputy Superintendent of jail, Head warders Omar Parkash-II and Hirdey Chander were promoted as Assistant Superintendents, the spokesman said.
The others who have been promoted include 14 selection grade warders to head warders and 19 jail warders to selection grade warders. In a separate order, the spokesman said, Director General of Police (DGP) Kuldeep Khoda has promoted three Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Inspectors and three Assistant Sub-Inspectors to the rank of Sub-Inspectors.
These promotions were cleared by the Departmental Promotion Committee, the spokesman added.
